A video update from Ms. Cox. Parents & Guardians, I recommend that you preview posts/videos before sharing with your child so that you can share the posts that work best for your family.
I show students my sewing room, talk about how all feelings are okay, and remind students that their behavior (words and actions) matter. If you're in a super silly, giggly, wiggly, jokey mood (normal in times of uncertainty and discomfort), make sure that your jokes are in line with your values. Make sure that others' identities are not the punchlines of your jokes. Parents & Guardians, click here for the Teaching Tolerance article that inspired this post. Hi students and parents! Wow, I miss being at school and seeing you. I loved seeing some of you in your spirit wear on the Wolfpack News! I had Career Exploration lessons planned for class counseling this month. Here is a fun memory match game you can use to review workers and tools. Match the tool or workplace to the worker! It's trickier than it sounds. I made it with 1st and 2nd grade in mind, but 3rd grade may enjoy this too. Third grade: be on the look out for a more challenging Career activity later this week. Have a great day!
